So in today's episode, I'm going to be talking about how you can earn money in your business whilst you sleep, and I'm going to walk you through a really simple system that's gonna get you selling your digital offer on autopilot.

Okay. So back to today's episode and today is all about looking at how you can create money whilst you sleep and looking at your offer which you can then sell on autopilot. So if you have been feeling stretched thin lately and maybe you're feeling like you're constantly working just to stay afloat and you've been wondering, is there an easier way to grow my business? Then this episode is going to be spot on for you because this is what we're talking about today. Today, it's going to be all about how you can work smarter by building automation in your business. So I'm going to walk you through how you can take your digital offer, whether that's an online course, a template kit, a workshop replay, or maybe even a low ticket template. So whatever it may be, And I'm gonna walk you through a very simple system that's gonna help you set it up so that you can sell it on repeat, which means that you're gonna get that income rolling in even whilst you're either sleeping, you're spending time with your favorite people, or you're off doing something that's actually bringing you joy. So you can actually take the weekend off, relax, knowing that you have money coming in to your business because this is how we create freedom in our business in in a smart way. So let's dive in and I want to just start by talking about why automation matters.

So the truth is in business that burnout and I wanna touch upon burnout because the past couple of episodes, I've been talking about burnout in business because it's a real thing. Many entrepreneurs get to the point where they fall out of love with their businesses because they're so burnt out, exhausted, tired, fed up, disillusioned because they're constantly working hard. And more often than not, it comes from doing the same thing over and over again without actually taking breaks. So whether that's responding to DMs, chasing invoices, or maybe even launching the same product manually every single time. Now it's not scalable, and it's certainly not sustainable. I know about burnout because as I've mentioned previously on this podcast, I have my own experiences with burnout. It's why I moved into the online course space because I was running a branding studio. I was exhausted.
Karen Davies [00:07:02]:
Burned out, and I became disillusioned with my business. And I realized that the business that I was building was not sustainable because everything about the business that I was creating was on my shoulders, and that's a heavy load to carry. I was responsible for everything, for finding the work, delivering the work, making sure that the people within my team were delivering the work, doing all the things, chasing invoices, dealing with client queries, you know, get getting into conversations with clients that at some sometimes were tough. And I think it just all built up and built up, and then obviously COVID happened. And I had an awful situation in my business that basically tipped me over the edge. And I realized that what I was creating was not smart because it was all on my shoulders, which meant that I couldn't really take the time off. I couldn't step away from it because I had this responsibility. And that responsibility is exhausting and that's why burnout happens because we we end up becoming trapped in the thing that we believed would give us that freedom.
Karen Davies [00:08:24]:
And it's not because we don't know necessarily what we're doing or we're not good at what we're doing or we're not good business people. It's simply because we're choosing a business model that doesn't work. It doesn't give us the freedom that we ultimately desire. The service based freedom, the service based model whereby you are providing a service to clients is gray all the while you only have few clients. But the moment you want to expand and scale, you need to then bring a team on board. And when you have a team, you have additional responsibilities, so it never quite disappears. You never quite get that freedom because you're always on the hook for something. So this is why we need to shift our perspective around how a business should should run, what we can do in our businesses, and actually look at the expertise that we have and what we can actually do with that expertise.
Karen Davies [00:09:30]:
And this is where digital offers come into play because these offers that we can create where we are packaging up our expertise, where sharing our knowledge with the world means that we can package it up once and then sell it on repeat. And then you can make sales when you sleep. So it becomes more of a scalable solution for your business, but also becomes a lot more enjoyable because you're getting that time back. You're not on the hook all the time having to be there to support your clients. You can actually create something, package it up, and sell it knowing that that income is coming in and the lights are staying on in your business. But you need to have automation because it's actually automation that is what's gonna allow your business to run even when you're not working. It's the difference between being busy and then being in flow. And when you combine that with a really strong digital offer, something that, like, say, you create once and sell multiple times, it becomes a game changer.
Karen Davies [00:10:48]:
And that's where you get your freedom because you have something that you're selling, but you don't have to be there time and time again to sell it because you've built in that automation. So what do you need to sell something on autopilot? So I just wanna break this down so that you have, an idea of what is needed. Okay. So you need three simple things. Number one, you need a clear offer. Your offer should solve one specific problem. Don't try to be everything to everyone. Your brilliance is powerful enough when it's focused.
Karen Davies [00:11:34]:
So think about what people come to you for. Is there a quick win solution that you can provide for a problem that they are experiencing? Now this problem doesn't have to be big, it doesn't have to be life changing, it could just be really simple. Now, I have the Easy Course Kick Starter Kit. It costs £27 and it's a three step process. So can you create something that is three steps, four steps, five steps? Do you have a framework that you can use to guide somebody to a specific result? So, I want you to really think about what offer you can create in your business that's going to be a no brainer for your ideal person. Okay, the second thing that you're going to need is an evergreen Funnel. Now this is where the magic happens, you want a journey that takes someone from discovering you to trusting you to then buying from you That's a funnel. Now this could look like a freebie that you offer. So think of a checklist or an ebook, a guide, mini training, something along those lines. You could also include an instant tripwire offer, something like my my easy course keep starter kit. That could be a tripwire offer that is then presented once somebody has downloaded the freebie.
Karen Davies [00:14:30]:
And then you can set up a follow-up email sequence that nurtures the relationship and gently guides them through to the next step. So this could be for them to book a one to one call with you, a consultation, a coaching session, or it could be guiding them to an online course. So that email sequence is going to nurture and then provide them with a signpost as to where they go next. Now, this funnel is should be designed to provide value but also to give your ideal audience the steps necessary to get access to what they need to resolve their problems. So, don't think it's just about selling. Selling is serving and by creating an evergreen funnel not only do you get to build something on auto that supports your business but you also get to serve because you're presenting the your audience with what they need to help them move forward. So I just wanted to really kind of mention that because I know people can feel really icky about presenting an offer. Your offer is just simply a step that somebody could take that's going to give them what they need.
Karen Davies [00:15:58]:
So, when it comes to selling it may be a case of reframing how you see selling but think about it from the perspective of your audience. What do they need? What can you create that's gonna support them? And how are you gonna get it to them? And that's where your evergreen funnel comes into play. The next thing, the third thing is your tech stack. So let's keep this really simple because I know tech can feel very overwhelming especially if you're on if you consider yourself not to be techie. Now you do not need a million dollar setup. You do not need to throw a ton of money at this. You can do this on a real budget. And I just wanna mention that as well because I've got members in my membership that have said to me that they have wasted thousands of pounds getting people to set up their digital ecosystem, and and it's just not worked.
Karen Davies [00:17:05]:
They haven't got any sales, but they've spent a ton of money trying to get it all set up. You do not need to do this. You can do this really cheaply. All you need is a landing page builder, an email platform that's going to deliver your email sequence, and a checkout system so that you can take money. That's all you need. Three things. Start lean and then build momentum, and don't get hung up on perfection. Now what I would recommend, if you are wanting to do this and you know this is an obvious next step, then I'd like you to check out a platform called Systeme.

So it's systeme.io. You will be able to do all of what I've said, the landing page builder, the email platform, and the checkout system. You'll be able to create this on their free platform, on their free tier. So, in order to build what it is that I'm showing with you today, you can do this for literally next to nothing. As I said, start lean and then the goal is to build momentum and not get hung up on perfection. And Systeme is such a great tool, you can grow with the platform. So it doesn't break the bank, but it gives you a really great platform that you can start building your digital business on. So I just want to give you a bit of a quick behind the scenes look at how this actually works in real time so that I can just give you some context to what I'm saying. So if somebody finds my free guide, so maybe somebody's on social or they get my email or they're on my blog or they're listening to my podcast or they're they've come into my world, they will be offered my free guide, which is the 10 steps to online course success. Once they download it, they will then get a thank you page. And on that thank you page, they're offered the opportunity to purchase the Easy Course Kickstart Kit for just £27 Now, this is a one off payment but it gives them the system that they need to start planning their online course. What this does, it focuses on the first step so that they can make sure that their idea has merit before they move on, but they're only investing £27 so the risk is low. So when you're away from your desk and somebody gets access to your freebie it then triggers a series of actions that can then lead to money in your pocket. Now, often there's a thought that because somebody's not techie and they don't have an offer they can't do this, but let me tell you it doesn't have to be fancy to be effective. Start with something small, create a digital checklist or an hour's workshop or even create a kit like mine. Your job is to package your brilliance not to overthink it and the take can be learnt one step out at a time or just outsource it but don't let the fear stop you from creating something that can be a game changer in your business.
